Eugenia Sotomayor has over 30 years of management experience with major hospitals and healthcare organizations and specializes in medical consulting services including business management, chart review, and managed care to name a few. Ms. Sotomayor's resume includes vice-president of operations for a publicly traded medical billing and practice management company before starting her own company, Medical Business Concepts (MBC) in 1996. Medical Business Concepts is a medical practice consulting firm and through client demand developed the medical billing company in Pasadena.
In 2009, Eugenia had her own personal experience with hospice when her father fell ill. This experience left her with a profound sense of gratitude for the hospice team, not just for the care of her father, but for the care they had for her family. Through this experience Ms. Sotomayor decided to return her gratitude by providing hospice services to others so that they can go through their journey without pain while retaining dignity, helping families treasure those remaining moments with their loved ones. As the original founder of South Valley Hospice Services, Ms. Sotomayor has developed a team of professionals who are dedicated to providing the best physical, emotional, and spiritual care to every patient and all others they encounter through South Valley Hospice Services.
Ms. Sotomayor graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelors degree in Business Management and was awarded with a CMC certificate from the Los Angeles County Medical Association.
Currently Eugenia belongs to the American Health Information Management Association, Medical Group Management Association, Practice Management Institute, and the Radiology Business Management Association.

Dr. Bader Iqbal’s compassion, expertise, and dedication to quality of care fortify South Valley Hospice’s mission to provide the best possible environment for end-of-life patients and their families. His particular skillset exemplifies the qualities essential in ensuring a comfortable hospice experience.
Dr. Iqbal graduated with honors from both the University of Illinois and Rush Medical College. He has been practicing medicine in Southern California for over twenty years, including prior experience as a Medical Director. During his residency at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center, he worked as an Emergency Physician and completed his training in family medicine including an emphasis on end-of-life care issues such as terminal illness, comfort care, and pain management. His outstanding abilities as a teacher resulted in his being elected Chief Resident in his final year of residency. In that role he was responsible for resident education and training in addition to serving as liaison between residents and faculty.
Since 1992 Dr. Iqbal has provided Family Medicine, Occupational Medicine, and Pain Management services to patients at his Westlake Village practice. He integrates his special interest in end-of-life care, palliative medicine, spiritual healing, and a holistic approach with his extensive medical experience and Board Certifications in Family Practice, Pain Management, Bioelectric Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Medical Director.
Dr. Iqbal is keenly aware of the importance of family. He is at peace with the concepts of dying and recognizes the importance of supporting caregivers and family members. Dr. Iqbal is an essential and dedicated member of the South Valley Hospice team.
Sikander Kajani, MD, is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Kajani graduated from Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He completed a residency and an internship at Wayne State University in Michigan. Dr. Kajani was also the recipient of a fellowship in geriatrics from UCLA.

He has memberships in American College of Physicians, American Geriatric Society, American Medical Association, American College of Managed Care Physicians, American Medical Directors Association, Los Angeles County Medical Association, Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin, and Ismaili Health Professionals Organization.
Dr Kajani also enjoys helping others and is very compassionate. Dr. Kajani also likes traveling, reading, and doing volunteer work. In addition to English, Dr. Kajani is fluent in Hindi.
